ABUS

ABUS started out making padlocks in Wetter, Germany, in 1924. The helmets are a newer line, and the top models are made in Italy and raced by the Movistar Team, which has signed on with ABUS through 2028.

The range runs from the AirBreaker 2.0, ABUS's lightest race helmet, through the GameChanger 2.0 aero helmet, to the StormChaser and PowerDome all-rounders and the Macator MIPS and Wingback at the entry end. The AirBreaker 2.0, GameChanger 2.0 and PowerDome each come in a Mips version, and the Pure editions of the AirBreaker and GameChanger match the liner to the shell. For gravel, the Taipan LED comes with its own magnetic rear light.

Many of these helmets take the ABUS LED rear light and bracket, so a light can live on the helmet rather than the seatpost.

Cycle Citizens is an authorized ABUS dealer in Brooklyn. Every model comes in sizes S, M and L.
